Please take time to familiarize yourself with Skyline Professional Learning, SY24 opportunities.

  • Please note, you will need to also register in the Learning Hub to be able to apply for ISBE Credit. LH codes can be found here. LH Registration will not be used to formally register or provide meet links.
  • Please note, Payroll will not be able to process payment for teachers who are not fully contracted at the time of the professional learning (employees must be fully onboarded to be compensated for attending the professional learning).
  • If you registered for a session that you are no longer able to attend we ask that you withdraw from the session. Please go into your Sched schedule and uncheck the session so that we are able to capture an accurate count of attendees in preparation of our sessions. This will also open up registration for other attendees to register for sessions that may be full (sessions with CAPS).

This session is designed to help you navigate the embedded-Skyline curriculum assessments from within Safari Montage- " with a purpose" !  From planning for your unit by accessing the assessments, to administering, setting online tools for general education and DL/ELL students,  activating students for testing, and using the data reports to analyze student data to make informed instructional decisions.  **Please note: there is no payment/stipend for this session.

- Understand how to know if they’re making progress toward the SY24 district-wide priorities for classroom practice
- Understand how the intentional progression of tasks within a unit contributes to student mastery of grade level standards and a strong learning environment
- Identify specific unit internalization practices to implement that will strengthen their selected Learning Condition

Prepare for In-Person Engagement:
Please be sure to bring a fully charged laptop (light snack/water optional) and allow additional time for parking, we will begin promptly at the session start time (in-person days 9AM-3PM). Please see the Skyline Summit In-Person Location Details for Attendees sheet for in-person location information and Learning Hub Codes. You will be provided coffee/light snacks for breakfast and catered lunch.

Please provide the City-wide Substitute Bucket #660466 to your school clerk to be used for the sub coverage pay if needed (to provide coverage for teachers who are attending the Skyline Summit sessions). Please also discuss with your school clerk if you should enter a Kronos-PD day or clock in/out at your school site based on school start/end time.

Objectives:
Participants will…
-Understand how to know if they’re making progress toward the SY24 district-wide priorities for classroom practice
- Understand how the intentional progression of tasks within a unit contributes to student mastery of grade level standards and a strong learning environment
- Identify specific unit internalization practices to implement that will strengthen their selected Learning Condition

Ready-Set-Go! Setting Student Accommodation Profiles-** There is no payment/stipend for attending this session

Participants attending this session will learn how to set up accommodation profiles in Checkpoint that will be effective for all of the subjects set in addition to Point of Use assessments, enabling their students to access needed tools, to include but not limited to text-to-speech or line readers for the whole school year.  This session is for Skyline and Non-Skyline users.  There is no payment/stipend for attending this session .
