Skyline ELA and MTSS: Session 1 *Grades 6-8 only

Your school has adopted Skyline ELA and your MTSS systems are going strong, but what do they have to do with one another? We’ll start by grounding in collective understandings of MTSS and high-quality, Tier 1 curriculum as well as the principles of intensifying Tier 1 instruction.
Next we’ll explore how screening assessments and classroom-based assessments from Skyline ELA can be used together to pinpoint specific gaps in literacy skills.
We’ll close the session by reviewing interventions recommended for grades 6-8 by Dept. of Literacy and explore how to match students to interventions based on assessment data. Additional considerations for scheduling interventions and how progress monitoring data from interventions can be fed back to classroom teachers will also be considered.
